Country overview
The Food Security and Livelihoods Cluster (FSLC) engages with hundreds of implementing partners, advocating for improved coordination, information flow and matches requests from Oblasts for the most vulnerable population groups affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine, which escalated in February 2022.

The FSLC has two key objectives:
  • Ensure immediate access to life-saving emergency food assistance for food-insecure people.
  • Strengthen the self-reliance of vulnerable conflict affected households and contribute to their economic capacity by protecting, restoring, and retaining agricultural and non-agricultural livelihoods.
The FSLC is led by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Ukraine.
